‘Whilst the recent very hot  extreme weather has affected some of our local and UK grown products we still have a very good selection of seasonal fruits and vegetables – The crops that have been worst hit by the weather have been the brassicas such as cabbages, cauliflowers and broccoli which will we think remain difficult for some weeks with some longer term problems likely into the winter. On the plus side we now have local Norfolk grown Cavolo Nero(Black Cabbage) and Kale alongside local new carrots, parsnips and local Maris Peer new potatoes. Also Runner beans, fresh peas and Broad Beans are now all available for a few weeks. On the soft fruit side, local Norfolk Blueberries are now in full swing and compliment our offering of Norfolk Strawberries, Raspberries and Blackberries. We also have wonderful locally grown Heritage Tomatoes to go alongside our full range of mostly local salad leaves. Other seasonal favorites are stone fruits which are also right in season at the moment with Apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines and cherries all great quality and value for the next few weeks. Scottish Girolle mushrooms have just started and great quality just at the moment for something a little different’
