Our new extension is now finished and fully commissioned – It has been built with the help of a Rural Development Growth grant from the Rural Payments Agency and will allow us to focus on increasing our range of products offered as well as enabling to cope with the natural growth in our business.
As before we are fully focused on providing the best that East Anglia has to offer in fresh produce backed up with a comprehensive range of local, national and internationally sourced dairy and dry ingredients. In line with this ambition our new extension combines a dedicated dairy store and ambient ingredients store with a large temperature controlled order picking hall.

Onion and Potato markets remain strong due to continued local shortages however by the end of the month we should see prices drop as new crops arrive in decent quantities.

SUPPLIER OF THE MONTH
As we move into the warmer months of the year salad dishes become an increasingly popular menu choice and the array of colours, textures and flavours available to tantalize the eyes and taste buds continues to widen.
With this in mind June is a timely opportunity to visit our local supplier, Fletchers Salads near Spalding. William Fletcher has supplied Accent Fresh for over 20 years with salad staples
such as Lollo Rossa, Red Oak, Lollo Biondi and Radicchio and more recently William has extended his planting programme to include Castel Franco and Puntarelle.
I got to see the salads from the very first seedlings which William is buying from a local grower, to then being planted 8 week growing cycle resulting in an amazing display of contrasting colours in the fields. Another great local supplier, demonstrating that local salads are still growing strong in East Anglia.
